Faith- Hope- Universal Love

The word “Universal” in ancient Greek, we translate today as “Catholic.” The Catholic Church is indeed a universal, or world wide, Church! You will find Catholics in every nation under the sun.

By the way, the name ‘Catholic’ dates back to the earliest days of the Christian Church. It is found in the Apostle’s Creed, which we’re told was composed by the Apostles and their followers in the first Christian century. When we say the Church is Catholic, it means it is a Church for all people of all times, a truly Universal Church founded by Jesus Christ Himself!

The Good News is the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Today, many attacks on Christian faith have come from pop culture and pseudo scientific quarters. Let’s take a quick look at the facts!

Jesus Christ isn’t just a ‘biblical’ figure; we have ancient Roman and Jewish sources that prove Jesus was a real person! The Faith that Jesus taught His Apostles and disciples was first preached in the very place where Jesus was arrested, scourged and crucified! His Resurrection was preached in the very place where He died and Rose on Easter!

If Jesus’ death and resurrection not happened, people then – just as skeptical as we are today – would have laughed the Apostles out of town! In other words, we have good reasons to believe the Good News that Jesus shared!
